BRICS Expert Council-Russia organises HSE CS х BRICS Ideathon

The HSE CS x BRICS Ideathon is a short intensive programme for students who would like to develop their skills in international project work and try their hand at solving global problems. The event is organised by the HSE Multilateral Strategic Projects Office alongside the BRICS Expert Council-Russia in partnership with the Hackathon Club of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science.

The Ideathon combines brainstorming, creative idea generation, and teamwork. Participants will tackle practical challenges related to enhancing cooperation among the BRICS nations, whose role in shaping a more equitable global architecture is steadily growing.

 

HSE CS х BRICS Ideathon Programme:

09:30–10:00. Registration, welcome coffee, and team assignments

10:00–10:25. Warm-up with a BRICS Quiz

10:25–10:30. Opening remarks from the organisers

10:30–11:00. Workshop: "Idea Generation and Brainstorming Rules" with Alexander Popovkin, Head of the Hackathon Club of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science

11:00–11:30. Workshop on project thinking by the HSE Corporate Academy

11:30–12:00. Case assignment

12:00–13:00. Lunch break

13:00–15:00. Teamwork with mentors

15:00–15:30. Coffee break

15:30–17:00. Project work continued

17:00–20:00. Pitch session: project defence

17:00–18:30. Activity area open

20:00–20:30. Grand finale: results, awards, and group photo

20:30–21:00. Pizza party and networking
