The BRICS Civil Society Forum has ended in Moscow: The participants adopted the final communique
The BRICS Civil Society Forum was held in Moscow on July 3-4. The forum was attended by more than 650 people - representatives of the public of the BRICS countries and invited countries of the world majority.
The forum was preceded by a lot of preparatory work. Nine working groups were created, which were headed by co–chairs - representatives of Russia as the chair country and the BRICS countries. As a result of face-to-face and correspondence discussions, each working group developed and internally agreed on its position paper, which briefly and reasonably reflected the opinion of the public on the issues of the BRICS agenda that most concern civil society.
