A meeting of the working group of the BRICS Civil Society Forum "Culture, Sports, Tourism" was held
On April 26, a meeting of the working group of the BRICS Civil Society Forum "Culture, Sports, Tourism" was held at the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation. During the meeting, the content and procedure for preparing the proposals of the working group, which will be included in the final document of the forum, were discussed. Proposals were made to ensure the integration of new members into the work within the framework of the working group's agenda. The experts noted the important role of interaction between representatives of the civil society of the BRICS countries in this integration and building non-governmental inter-country contacts.
The moderator of the meeting, Andrey Maksimov, Chairman of the CC RF Commission on Territorial Development, Urban Environment and Infrastructure, said that proposals had been received from almost every member of the group and a draft version of the document had already been compiled. However, the forum's secretariat asked to supplement the proposed project part with the basic principles and values within which cooperation between the BRICS countries should be built.
“ ”
We must identify the basic principles and interests that we defend. It should be a kind of position document of the group, the preamble of which contains the tasks, goals of our work, and the values we stand for. To strengthen integration, we have to mention projects that our partners are already successfully implementing, but in which Russia is not yet involved.

He also recalled that the declaration should clearly state whether an initiative requires state participation or whether it is a public integration initiative that will be implemented with private funds or on a voluntary basis.
“ ”
To do this, we need to find foreign partners, and everything that happens with the participation of the state requires separate coordination.

Morality is the most powerful unifying principle, the president of the regional public organization BRICS believes. The World of Traditions", Lyudmila Sekacheva, Head of the BRICS Peoples Choose Life program.
“ ”
The topic of morality has a consolidating significance and is understandable to all peoples. We have already proposed such projects as the anthem of the BRICS nations, the cultural-themed youth tourist route “The Road of Great Teachers” — as we know, great teachers, Confucius, Leo Tolstoy, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, etc., have left the world a legacy that is a moral instruction, a moral vaccine to cure society of violence. And we can focus on projects and areas that will allow us to maintain a person's spiritual and moral state and health, a sense of patriotism, etc. Without a harmonious state in a person's words, ideas, thoughts, and actions, no direction will work. I suggest that we use the quote “From the ecology of the soul and body to the ecology of the world” as the motto of our cultural track

Andrey Maksimov supported this idea. He also added that BRICS is a global association of countries and peoples with the prevailing idea of localization.
“ ”
We try to preserve the local, country, and ethnic flavor. The diversity of cultures is most welcome. We do not allow cultural globalization to overshadow the cultural flavor. This should also be designated as the main line.
Andrey Maksimov
Chairman of the CC RF Commission on Territorial Development, Urban Environment and Infrastructure
The experts agreed that the introductory part of the document will contain the statement that socio-cultural programs in the field of culture, which are implemented within the framework of cooperation between the BRICS countries, are based on the principles of justice, mutual respect, mutual assistance, and the desire to preserve and enhance cultural, spiritual and moral heritage. Also, in their opinion, the declaration should reflect that the implementation of socio—cultural programs in the field of culture is aimed at supporting the aspirations of the peoples of the BRICS countries for equitable development without barriers, with access to all cultural achievements and to help the BRICS member countries in development.

If the BRICS countries' sanatorium-resort alliance is combined with the possibilities of cultural and tourism projects, it will be interesting.
