On December 3–4, 2025, Rio de Janeiro will welcome participants of the BRICS International School: New Generation, a flagship international educational project for young leaders from the BRICS nations. The programme is organised by the BRICS Expert Council-Russia, HSE University, and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The school will be held as part of Brazil's 2025 Chairship in BRICS.

Scientists, analysts, diplomats, representatives of ministries and agencies, think tank experts, entrepreneurs, journalists, and leaders of youth and civil society organisations, aged 18 to 35, are invited to participate.

The programme will feature master classes, strategic sessions, team projects, business games, and cultural activities. Young leaders will have the opportunity to delve into the key areas of BRICS cooperation and discuss the group's role in shaping a new global balance of power.

Amid the group's expansion and the growing interest in its youth track, the School's session in Brazil represents a significant milestone in the project's development. Its key mission is to build a community of young professionals dedicated to international dialogue, cross-cultural exchange, and the promotion of a positive BRICS agenda worldwide.

Launched in Russia in 2017, the programme has grown into an international movement and has already attracted more than 700 participants from 60 countries. Graduates of the School become BRICS ambassadors, create joint initiatives, participate in expert groups, and work in NGOs, business, and government structures.
