The VIII BRICS International School has become a record number of participants: 85 delegates from more than 35 countries came to Moscow.
In the period from October 1 to 3, the VIII International Scientific and Educational program "BRICS School" was held in Moscow within the framework of the presidency of the Russian Federation in the BRICS association. The event was organized by the BRICS Expert Council, and the Roscongress Foundation was the operator.
In 2024, the program was implemented with the support of the BRICS National Research Committee, the A.m. Gorchakov Foundation for Public Diplomacy and MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia within the framework of the state university support program "Priority 2030".
A record number of delegates took part in the program – 85 participants from more than 35 countries and 40 cities, and more than 30 representatives of the expert community of the BRICS countries and other states. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov sent greetings to the participants, guests and organizers of the event.
Traditionally, within the framework of the event, participants met with Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Russian Sherpa in BRICS.

In total, the event included 5 lectures, 3 expert discussions, 1 training seminar, 1 master class and 1 case study. The main topics for discussion were the interaction of the BRICS countries with the African continent, the BRICS economy, the role of BRICS in a changing world, energy, public diplomacy, as well as new technologies and AI.
The participants of the event noted the high level of hospitality within the framework of the Russian representative office in BRICS, as well as the high-quality semantic content of the program. The high public interest in the VIII International Scientific and Educational Program "BRICS School" has once again confirmed the relevance of the program aimed at building human resources and an informal community of young Brixologists.
