Meeting: "Moscow – Cairo: History and Development of Russian-Egyptian Dialogue" at Inostranka
The BRICS Expert Council-Russia, in collaboration with the BRICS+ Information and Cultural Media Centre, invites you to attend the meeting titled "Moscow – Cairo: History of Russian-Egyptian Dialogue."
Diplomatic relations between the USSR and Egypt at the level of missions were officially established on August 26, 1943. Since that day, both nations have undergone significant transformations more than once, yet the friendship between their peoples has only deepened, marked by years of close and fruitful cooperation.
During this session with leading experts in international relations, we will explore the key milestones of this enduring history.
Among our experts are:
- Ruslan Shakirovich Mamedov, Candidate of Sciences (PhD) in History and Scientific Director of the Evgeny Primakov Center for International Cooperation; Senior Researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences
- Ilya Orlov, Lecturer at HSE University and Junior Researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences
- Khalaf Saad, Candidate of Sciences (PhD) in History and journalist for the Al Arabiya TV channel
- Mohamed Attia, Representative of the Center for Arab-Eurasian Studies in Egypt
The discussion will be moderated by Ahmed Hammam, representative of the BRICS Expert Council-Russia and a native of Egypt.
