BRICS International School: Junior Track Held in Vladivostok
The BRICS International School: Junior Track, an educational initiative of the BRICS Expert Council-Russia, was successfully held at the Russian Children's Center Okean in Vladivostok. Organized in partnership with Okean, the program aims to introduce younger generations to the principles of a multipolar world, international cooperation, and the BRICS agenda.
The event brought together 260 students aged 13–17 from Russia and China. Participants represented 25 regions of the Russian Federation, including Moscow and Saint Petersburg, as well as regions from the Central, Siberian, Far Eastern, and other federal districts.
Designed specifically for a younger audience, the program replaced traditional lectures with interactive learning experiences. Participants explored the history and principles of BRICS through quizzes, workshops, team-building activities, and intercultural exercises. One of the most popular activities was the Matryoshka painting workshop, where students reimagined the traditional Russian symbol by incorporating national motifs and their own creative ideas into the designs.

The Junior Track is a platform for dialogue between generations, where important global issues are presented in a way that is engaging and accessible for teenagers. We want participants to leave not simply with new knowledge about BRICS, but with a sense of their own role in building a multipolar world—and an understanding of how they can contribute to that future.

The Junior Track is part of the broader educational mission of the BRICS International School: New Generation. Earlier in 2026, the initiative was successfully launched in New Delhi, India, where it brought together 60 students from local schools. The Vladivostok edition marked another significant milestone in the program's international expansion and demonstrated the growing interest of young people in BRICS-related educational initiatives.
Since its establishment in 2017, the BRICS International School: New Generation has brought together more than 1,000 young leaders from over 60 countries. The Junior Track expands this global community by introducing school-aged participants to international dialogue and cooperation at an early stage. Through initiatives like this, the project encourages a lasting interest in the evolving multipolar international order while inspiring future careers in international affairs.
