The results of the philosophical essay contest "Vision 2050: How BRICS will change the World by 2050" have been announced.
On May 24, an online meeting of the jury of the philosophical essay contest "Vision 2050", organized by the BRICS Expert Council, was held in Moscow, where the results were summed up and the winners were determined.
Within the framework of the competition, participants were invited to imagine a future that would be better for all mankind than the present, and to propose long-term measures to achieve it. A philosophical essay was chosen as the format.
Felix Azhimov, Chairman of the jury, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities of the Higher School of Economics, noted that during the selection stage over one and a half hundred essays were received, half of which were checked for compliance with the requirements and were admitted to the assessment.
Representatives of Russia, China, Spain, South Africa, Uruguay, India, Turkmenistan, Brazil and the Democratic Republic of the Congo took part in the competition.
Based on the results of the meeting, the jury members identified 10 winners, three of whom will be given the opportunity to take part in the BRICS Civil Society Forum in Moscow.
